2010 was a very special year for us as the RSJ Restaurant celebrated its 30th year. We held a number of special events through the year to mark our 30th birthday.

Most attractive floral Chenin Blanc made organically

by the rising star of Chinon. It has a nice concentration

and lovely ripe fruit.

Claude Papin has made a delightful floral, honeyed

dry Chenin full of fruit with a lovely minerality.

It has a really good length and balance.

Régis Neau’s  ever popular, delicious dry sparkler

is made from 70%Chenin Blanc & 30% Chardonnay

and makes a wonderful aperitif!

Delicious dry pink sparkler from Regis, made from Cabernet Franc.

Aromas of red & black fruits with a velvety &lively palate.

Vincent Ogereau’s delicious dry Rose made from a blend

of  Cabernet and Grolleau is perfect for a picnic, barbecue

or just an excuse for a glass of wine on a summer’s day.

2010 Anjou Rouge, Domaine Ogereau  £9.05  £8.35

Vincent Ogereau’s  classic cabernet Franc has

lovely mouthwatering fruit with good weight and a fresh finish.



2010 La Cerisaie, Domaine de la Bergerie  £9.55 £8.85

Lovely fruit and superb balance are the hallmark

of Yves Guegniard’s wines and this is drinking beautifully.



2009 Chinon, ‘Les Chiens Chiens’ Dom de la Noblaie  £10.25  £9.35

Outstanding organically grown Chinon from top young

vigneron, Jerome Billard, it is packed with ripe fruit.

It has an attractive nose of violets and a lovely balance.

A must for all dog lovers!



2012 ‘Irréductible’ Touraine Rouge  [new wine]  £13.10 £11.95

Vincent Roussely’s fabulous ‘natural’ wine is a blend of Gamay

and Cabernet Franc. Lovely ripe fruit and beautifully balanced.

Truly delicious!



2011 La Croix de Mission , Anjou Villages Brissac £13.35  £12.35

Jean-Yves Lebreton & his son, Jean-Hubert, have made

another outstanding wine in 2011 from their famous vineyard.

This is 90% cabernet Sauvignon and 10% cabernet Franc



2011 Sancerre Rouge, ‘Les Pierris’  £13.35 £12.35

Made from 100% Pinot Noir, this is an elegant

attractive and stylish wine from the Champault brothers.

Events at RSJ Restaurant Summer 2013: 24th June – The Eastern Loire

 
Wine Tastings with Dinner  Start 7.15pm

Monday 24th June   ‘The Eastern Loire ’  £49.50

We will be looking at appellations in this region including Sancerre, Pouilly,
Menetou Salon, Quincy and Reuilly and tasting the delicious and elegant Pinot Noirs
as well as a number of wonderful Sauvignons from top growers including
the Champault brothers, Sebastien Treuillet, Henri Bourgeois, Domaine Pelle
and 2013 Decanter World Wine Award Trophy Winner, Jean Tatin.
We also intend to taste a 1988 Sancerre from Cotat in magnum.
