2010 was a very special year for us as the RSJ Restaurant celebrated its 30th year. We held a number of special events through the year to mark our 30th birthday.

Dominique Tessier’s delicious dry Chenin Blanc has loads
of ripe fruit and a very nice concentration and balance.

2009  Touraine Sauvignon, Domaine du Clos Roussely                             £8.50               £7.85
We started shipping Vincent Roussely’s wines last year and they
have proved extremely popular. His Sauvignon is crisp, fresh and has
a lovely ripeness and balance.

2009 Sauvignon, Domaine du Bablut                                                          £8.70               £7.95
Wonderful organically produced Sauvignon from our old friend
Christophe Daviau. It has a lovely elegance yet with a nice concentration.

2008 Muscadet Sur Lie Le Clos des Allées                                                   £9.20               £8.50
The much vaunted Pierre Luneau makes superb Muscadets and
his ‘Clos des Allées’ from an individual parcel of vines has excellent
ripe fruit and a lovely minerality.

2008 Le Petit Princé Chenin Blanc Domaine de Bablut                              £11.50             £10.65
A new wine to us, this lovely dry organically produced Chenin Blanc
 is bottled on the lees and has a lovely attractive nose, ripe fruit and is
 beautifully balanced. Made organically by Christophe Daviau of Domaine de Bablut

2008 Quincy, Domaine des Ballandors                                                        £11.95             £10.95
The multi award winning husband and wife, Jean Tatin & Chantal Wilk
have again made a delicious Sauvignon in this ever more fashionable area
near Sancerre with wonderful fruit and a great concentration and balance.

2008 Sancerre ‘Les Pierris’                                                                           £12.50             £11.55
The Champault brothers wonderful Sancerre goes from strength
 to strength each year and this has a classical Sauvignon flavour
 and great character.

Christophe Baudry & Jean-Martin Dutour’s delicious

with a very good balance and lovely aroma of violets.

This lovely Champigny made by our good friend Regis Neau
is full of ripe Cabernet fruit with a lovely concentration and flavour.

2008 St Nicolas de Bourgueil, Les Rouillères                                             £10.30             £9.55
Frederic Mabileau’s classic St Nicolas is ripe, fruity and
hugely appealing – year after year this great wine maker makes
superb wine.

2008 Sancerre Rouge, ‘Les Pierris’                                                              £12.60             £11.95
Excellent ripe Pinot Noir from the Champault brothers – the
reds from Sancerre are becoming increasingly fashionable.
