Following the rather serendipitous success of our Sauvignon Blanc tasting in May when we were all sat around one large table, we have decided to opt this 'dinner party' format for some of our tastings. We found that this 'dinner party' format worked extremely well and that it encouraged a relaxed discussion making for a very enjoyable evening.
Numbers will be strictly limited and we will be comparing and contrasting the 2005 and 2006 vintages. Wines to be shown will include 2005s: Cuvée d'Antan Sancerre (Henri Bourgeois), Clos du Portail, Vouvray (Champalou) and Coteau de Noire, Chinon (Philippe and Claude Alliet) and 2006s to include La Demoiselles de Bourgeois, Pouilly-Fumé (Henri Bourgeois) and Haut de la Butte, Bourgueil (Domaine de la Butte, Jacky Blot).
